The maths, in plain words
- Profit on one order = price, minus the referral fee and any affiliate commission (both are a percentage of the price), minus the fixed costs: the product, shipping and anything else you pay per order.
- Break-even price = your fixed costs divided by one minus the two percentages written as decimals. Below that price you lose money on every order.
- Margin = profit divided by the price.
- An affiliate's commission = the price times the commission rate; a month is that times the orders you drive.

- The commission you offer affiliates, if you use them.
- Returns and refunds, which the calculator does not guess at: add them into the other-cost line from your own history.

What the number leaves out
It assumes every order ships and stays sold, that fees are the same on every item, and that your costs are steady across the month. It is arithmetic on the numbers you give it, not a forecast, and it makes no claim about how many orders you will get. Taxes, currency and any fee TikTok changes after this page was written are yours to add.
